The documentary series "The Apprentice" from 2004 – not to be confused with Ali Abbasi's film from 2024 – is streaming on Amazon Prime Video in the USA again.

With the start in 2004, the TV series gave the then businessman Donald Trump national star status, which facilitated his political career.

In his baggage, he had a number of bankruptcies and poor business deals that had split his New York-based real estate empire, writes AP.

The participants competed for a high salary and a job in Donald Trump's company. The decision to stream the series' seven first seasons is described as the latest "indication" of how Amazon is trying to strengthen the relationship with the sitting president.

Recently, the company also announced that it is investing over 40 million dollars, around 400 million kronor, in a documentary about the president's wife Melania Trump.

On Swedish Prime Video, instead, Ali Abbasi's film "The Apprentice" is shown, which prompted Donald Trump to threaten with a lawsuit.
