Agri Ismail was nominated for the August Prize for his debut novel "Hyper". Now he is competing with four other promising authors for Borås Tidning's debutant prize.
Mattias Timander's critically acclaimed novel "Your will is in the forest", Johanna Larsson's prose-lyrical essay "Letter faith", Ali Alonzo's "unpredictable" poems in "I think I'll be disgusting" and Maria Bodin's poetry collection "Kristina fragments" are also on the nomination list.
Borås Tidning has been awarding the prize since 2001 and among the authors who have received the prize are, among others, Lotta Lotass, Jonas Hassen Khemiri, Stina Stoor and Marit Kapla.
The award ceremony will take place on March 20 at Borås City Theatre – where the prize's 25th anniversary will also be celebrated.
