The industry organization has in previous surveys seen how crime is causing companies to seriously consider relocating their operations.

It is precisely the violent crimes, such as bombings and shootings, that make entrepreneurs consider relocating or even shutting down their operations, says Tobias Adielsson, expert on crimes against entrepreneurs at Företagarna.

One can also see that the proportion of companies that do not report crimes they have been subjected to is increasing. The reason? They are afraid of consequences.

Which shows that entrepreneurs are very worried about this escalation of crime that is happening and that makes them dare not report.

Tobias Adielsson points out that organized crime affects all industries.

It's easy to think that it affects restaurants and food stores, which are very exposed. But it also applies to other industries because criminal gangs want to make money.

The concern is even more pronounced when, as now, many crimes have occurred in a short time. The entrepreneurs point out that business owners need to be prioritized to a higher degree, including through increased police presence.

It's no longer possible to ignore that entrepreneurs are exposed. Many feel that it must be enough now, says Tobias Adielsson.
