The Work Environment Authority is investigating the amusement park Liseberg and the main contractor NCC after the fire at Oceana earlier this year, reports Göteborgs-Posten.
According to the Work Environment Authority, there were deficiencies in coordination and communication.
What we see is that there are deficiencies here and there, says Bengt Andreasson, work environment inspector at the Work Environment Authority, to the newspaper.
One person died in the fire that broke out on February 12 this year.
In an investigation by the State Accident Investigation Commission – which is still ongoing – it is established that the fire in the water park likely started when plastic pipes under a water slide were welded together.
At the same time, it is unclear which company was responsible for the work on the water slide. The main contractor NCC has previously stated that neither the company nor any of its subcontractors performed the work.
Liseberg has in turn referred to the company Whitewater West, which manufactured the water slides. However, this has been denied by Whitewater West.
