The Head of the Security Service, Charlotte von Essen, and the National Police Commissioner, Petra Lundh, have been invited to the Riksdag's Justice Committee to give their view on the infiltration of gang criminals into politics, reports Ekot.

The background is that it has emerged that a person who attended Jimmie Åkesson's wedding at the end of September has ties to a criminal motorcycle gang. This has led to questions about what security assessments were made beforehand.

When we can establish that gang leaders move in the same circles as the Deputy Prime Minister, party leaders, and members of parliament, we should inform ourselves in the Justice Committee. How are these assessments made around the central government leadership? says Annika Strandhäll (S).

The Chairman of the Justice Committee, Rickard Jomshof (SD), thinks the issue is important and notes that no party is exempt.

I believe there is a great deal of naivety in this issue, generally speaking, and a great deal of ignorance, he says to Ekot.
