Fourteen people have been found dead in Algeria's southern desert province of Illizi. Twelve of them were migrants from Syria, the other two from Algeria.
Among them were two children, a ten-year-old and a 16-year-old.
Five more are still missing. Search efforts to find them are ongoing, says Bassem Farroukh at the Syrian embassy in Algeria. The victims came from Libya on Tuesday and were found dead on Saturday after getting lost, he says.
