tjänstepension

occupational pension

A pension your employer pays into on top of your salary. It comes in addition to the national public pension and can make a large difference to your income as a pensioner.

Most employers covered by a collective agreement pay an occupational pension, and many others do so voluntarily. How much is paid in, and who manages the money, depends on the agreement or your contract, so ask about it when you are offered a job.

You can see many of your occupational pensions together with the national pension in a forecast on Pensionsmyndigheten's My Pages. When you leave Sweden, occupational pensions usually stay invested until you retire.
