More than 20 years after its release, The Killers' song "Mr Brightside" is now in the Guinness Book of Records. The song is the single by a group that has stayed the longest – 416 weeks – on the British singles chart ever, writes Billboard.
The song has also been highest placed for the most number of weeks, despite never being number one, and for that it also enters the record book.
American The Killers were discovered and signed by the British record label Lizard King, and many Brits see them as just a British band.
"Mr Brightside" was released in 2003.
