A 45-year-old woman was severely injured and had to be taken to hospital by helicopter after being hit by a car in Danderyd outside Stockholm at lunchtime on Friday, the police write on their website.
The woman, a pedestrian on the sidewalk, was hit by a car that drove out from a plot. The car was driven by an 80-year-old woman.
The police have seized the car for technical examination and initiated a preliminary investigation into gross negligence in traffic and gross bodily harm.
Relatives of the hit woman have been informed.
