A middle-aged woman in Östersund is accused of having obtained a total of 781,000 kronor from the Insurance Agency over a period of eight years, which she was not entitled to, reports SVT News Jämtland. She is now suspected of gross benefit fraud.

The woman should, according to the Insurance Agency's report, not have notified that she had started working again and thus received both sickness benefit and sickness compensation in addition to her salary.

The suspected crime is said to have taken place between 2017 and 2025.
