Last year, a woman in Västerås was hit by a car at a pedestrian crossing and later died at the hospital. Now, a 20-year-old man is being prosecuted, reports Vestmanlands Läns Tidning.
The fatal accident occurred at the end of October. The man was driving a light truck. According to the indictment, he was driving at approximately 70 kilometers per hour on a road section where the speed limit is 50 kilometers per hour.
The man, who denies the crime, is being prosecuted for causing another person's death and reckless driving.
