A woman has fallen into an elevator shaft in central Malmö. She was taken to hospital by ambulance.
The woman, who is in her 55s, was working at a restaurant and was on the second floor when she was about to enter an elevator.
She opened the door, but the elevator was on the first floor, so she fell into the elevator shaft, about 1.5 meters, says police spokesperson Fredrik Bratt.
For some reason, the door was able to open despite the elevator not being on that floor.
The extent of the woman's injuries is not known. She was awake and able to speak when she was taken to hospital.
The police are investigating the incident as a workplace crime and causing bodily harm.
