According to the weather authority, the risk assessment applies on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for parts of eastern and northern Götaland as well as parts of Skåne and eastern Svealand.
Primarily on Öland – as well as locally in Skåne and northern Götaland – the risk is considered extremely high.
People are asked to consider that hazardous fires can easily occur due to, for example, burning, sparks from machines or lightning strikes.
A tip is to check if a burning ban applies in your current area, and to be very cautious.
Additionally, the weather in the areas will be warm in the near future and then the fire spreads easily in forests and land, and can, among other things, cause disruptions in the power and telephone network when they ravage cable streets.
There is also a locally high risk of fires in forests and land in parts of northern Västerbotten, but that risk ceases at 23.00 on Wednesday.
