Two passenger cars collided in the morning on Gålö south of Stockholm. Police, rescue services, ambulance, and ambulance helicopter were called to the scene, and several people were taken to hospital.
At 19:00, the police reported that a 70-year-old woman died in the accident. A 65-year-old man and two 35-year-old men were also taken to hospital, but their injuries are unknown.
The incident is being investigated as gross negligence in traffic, causing another person's death and bodily harm.
