A low-pressure system is moving in over southeastern Sweden on Friday morning. This also brings an increased risk of heavy rain and thunder showers.
It is connected to a low-pressure system coming from the Norwegian Sea. Locally, there may be rounds of showers that can bring 30 to 60 millimeters of rain, says Sofia Söderberg, meteorologist at SMHI.
On Thursday, two music festivals in Norway were evacuated due to bad weather with heavy rain and thunder.
A yellow warning for heavy rain is now issued for parts of eastern Götaland and eastern Svealand.
On its website, SMHI writes that there is a risk of flooded roads, basements, stormwater systems, and viaducts.
It is very local and can differ greatly, so you have to wait and see where it will hit. The heaviest showers appear to come in the afternoon and evening, says Söderberg.
The warning applies from 10:00 to 23:00 on Friday.
