One of the documents that the former national security adviser Henrik Landerholm forgot at a conference center dealt with a secret meeting with President Biden's security adviser, reports Dagens Nyheter.

At least one of the documents concerned a secret conversation between Landerholm and the US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan. The focus of the meeting was Sweden's strategy for getting the Nato application approved by Turkey. The documents were based, among other things, on security-classified information from the Security Police and the Defence Forces.

The meeting was held at lunchtime on March 13, 2023, but it is unclear where it was held and whether it took place physically or via video. Afterward, Landerholm took a taxi to Gällöfsta course center, where the documents were later found.

The conversation with Sullivan took place in the middle of the ongoing Nato process. The day after, Sullivan had an official meeting with the Turkish president's chief adviser.

Landerholm is charged with negligence with secret information and the trial begins next week. He denies the crime.

Peter Hultqvist, the Social Democrats' defence policy spokesperson, demands that the forgotten documents be presented in the Riksdag.

This is extremely sensitive documents in the process that was when Sweden was to join Nato. And it's a question of our credibility. Can you trust Sweden when we have discussions about strategies with other countries, in this case, the USA? he says to TV4 News.
