A construction worker was hit by a rock in the head during a renovation of a property on Kungsholmen in Stockholm, the police write on their website.
The rock hit a part of the man's head that was not covered by the safety helmet.
The man was awake and able to speak when he was taken to the hospital by ambulance for a check-up after the incident on Monday morning.
To investigate the causes of the accident, the police have now initiated a criminal investigation into causing bodily harm and workplace crime.
