Industrial production in the USA increased by 0.6 percent in June compared to May, according to a report from the US central bank Federal Reserve (Fed). It was a significantly larger increase than expected.
The average forecast among analysts was an increase of 0.3 percent, according to a compilation of forecasts made by the news agency Bloomberg.
The capacity utilization in the industry was 78.8 percent, which can be compared to the expected 78.4 percent.
In May, industrial production in the USA increased by 0.9 percent.
