According to the agreement, Washington is being offered Ukrainian minerals in exchange for continued American military support, says a member of Kyiv's delegation at the ongoing security conference in Munich.
Earlier in the week, President Volodymyr Zelensky's adviser Andrij Jermak stated that Ukraine is ready to conclude an agreement on mining and extraction of rare minerals with the USA.
President Donald Trump, who has long been critical of the USA's large military support to Ukraine, has previously said he wants to gain access to Ukrainian minerals and gas in exchange for American security guarantees to Kyiv.
