The audio file was recorded from inside Campus Risbergska during the shooting, and according to an analysis that TV4 News had done of the audio, a person is heard shouting "you should get out of Europe" in the clip. The analysis received widespread criticism and several people reported the segment to the Review Board.
However, according to the Board, the film sequence does not violate the requirement of objectivity. It is stated that it was clearly indicated in the segment that it was unclear whether it was the perpetrator who was heard in the film, and that the motive picture was still uncertain.
According to the Review Board, it was also clear in the segment that the police had not confirmed the motive picture, and highlights that a reporter also reasoned further about the motive picture and emphasized that it could be complex.
