The Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump held his first outdoor election rally on Wednesday since he was subjected to an assassination attempt in July.
At the meeting in North Carolina, security was tightened. Trump held his speech on a podium behind bulletproof glass. Large storage containers were stacked around the area to form protective walls and block sightlines.
In addition, snipers were placed on nearby rooftops, while bodyguards surrounded the podium on the ground.
