I am not a Nazi. I am the opposite of a Nazi, said Trump at an election rally in Georgia.
The way they talk is so disgusting and just terrible, continued Trump.
Trump's comments come a day after his campaign rally at Madison Square Garden in New York, which was highlighted by Trump's opponents as an example of divisive and racist rhetoric.
Several, including former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, went even further and compared it to a Nazi rally in 1939 at the same location.
Trump also criticized rival Kamala Harris for calling him a fascist last week.
She's a fascist, okay? She's a fascist.
Harris' comment came after John Kelly, Trump's chief of staff at the White House between 2017 and 2019, described his former boss as "definitely authoritarian". Kelly stated in an interview with the New York Times that the former president had repeatedly returned to the idea that Hitler "also did good things".
Trump responded on social media, calling Kelly a liar and describing him with several derogatory words.
