Trampoline parks can be a popular place to visit during the sports holiday. Now they will become safer.
Several serious accidents have occurred at trampoline parks, where children and adults have suffered severe fractures to arms, legs, and feet, and injuries to the head, neck, and back.
To meet legal requirements and prevent accidents, a standard has been translated into Swedish and clarified, on an initiative from the Consumer Agency. The requirements concern, among other things, the construction of the equipment. The standard is voluntary to use.
"The standard is a tool to increase safety. Very many accidents could have been prevented", says Anna Strandberg, investigator in product safety at the Consumer Agency in a press release.
