This week, the last major tournament of the season for the ladies' golf will be decided, but for the Swedish stars, it was a tough rehearsal ahead of the British Open at the classic St Andrews in Scotland.
The two OS players, Maja Stark and Linn Grant, for example, did not make the qualifying limit at the Scottish Open at Dundonald Links, and the experienced duo Madelene Sagström (+3) and Anna Nordqvist (+7) had to settle for a shared 30th and shared 48th place, respectively.
The best Swedish player was instead the dark horse Lisa Pettersson, who finished in a shared 10th place, three strokes under par. The American Lauren Coughlin won with 15 strokes under par.
In addition to Stark, Grant, Sagström, Nordqvist, and Pettersson, Linnea Ström, Johanna Gustavsson, Sara Kjellker, and Louise Rydqvist are also qualified for the British Open, which begins on Thursday.
