Tim Curry takes on his first role on the big screen in 14 years in the horror film "Stream", which premieres in American cinemas this week, writes Variety.
Known for his iconic roles as the clown Pennywise in the 1990 miniseries "It" and as Dr Frank-n-furter in "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" from 1975, Curry has many fans within the horror film community. He has also appeared in films such as "Scary Movie 2" and "Legend".
"We're so happy to bring Tim back to the big screen. His charm and charisma shine through in everything he does. He was one of my big idols growing up and getting to work with him is one of the biggest moments of my life", says director and screenwriter Michael Leavy in a statement.
Since suffering a stroke in 2012, Tim Curry has used a wheelchair, but he has continued to work as a voice actor and is often seen at cult film events. He also played the role of narrator in the TV film version of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" with Laverne Cox in the lead role from 2016.
