The shooting occurred just before 18:30 on Monday, May 6. The crime scene was located near a school and a stone's throw from the heavily trafficked Götgatan and Skanstulls subway station. Many people were in the vicinity and several witnessed the murder.
A 17-year-old boy is believed to have fired the shots and, according to the prosecutor, committed the murder "together and in agreement" with a 22-year-old and a 28-year-old man.
What is alleged is that the murder took place in a gang environment, but the exact motive is unknown, says prosecutor Marina Chirakova.
Chirakova claims that the murder "was preceded by careful planning and involved severe suffering for the victim and had the character of an execution". The shooting was "particularly reckless", as it took place in a public place where several other people were present.
The evidence in the case consists, among other things, of witness statements from the scene, as well as other direct evidence, including DNA. The prosecutor also cites a film from the event, which the police secured from the online forum Flashback.
Our claim is that this is a film from the crime scene. You can't see the actual murder on it, but if you watch the film, you can understand how it happened, says Marina Chirakova.
It is unclear who recorded the film.
In the case, two 17-year-old boys are also charged with attempted aggravated obstruction of justice, suspected of having tried to dispose of clothes and weapons after the murder.
All of them deny the crime.
