Four ships are suspected of being involved in various cable breaks on the bottom of the Baltic Sea. Here are the ships.

Yi Peng 3 – flagged in China

Suspicions: The cargo ship caused a cable break between Finland and Germany as well as Sweden and Lithuania on November 17 and 18, 2024. Swedish police and accident investigators were on board, but the ship left the Kattegat in November.

Eagle S – flagged in the Cook Islands

Suspicions: The oil tanker was behind the sabotage of a cable between Finland and Estonia on December 25, 2024. Finnish police and military boarded the ship, which is still in a Finnish harbor. The crew has been banned from leaving the country.

Vezhen – flagged in Malta

Suspicions: The cargo ship damaged a data cable between Gotland and Latvia on January 26. Swedish police boarded the ship, which was taken to the harbor in Karlskrona and has been seized by Swedish authorities.

Silver Dania – flagged in Norway

Suspicions: The crew of the cargo ship was involved in the cable break between Gotland and Latvia on January 26. The ship and the Russian crew are being held in Tromsö, Norway, at the request of Latvian authorities.
