The second season of the Emmy-awarded drama series "The Last of Us" premieres on Max in April, confirms the executive producer Neil Druckmann.
The story about the two survivors Joel and 14-year-old Ellie takes place 20 years after the modern civilization has been destroyed and was first made as a game. In the new season, there has been peace for five years when Joel and Ellie are drawn into a new conflict. The leading roles are still played by Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey.
The post-apocalyptic drama series was the most watched series on HBO Max in Sweden the year it premiered, 2023.
