The season is over for the Swedish long jumper Khaddi Sagnia. She announces this on her Instagram.

"I have had injury problems for a long time and still have problems with my knee. I feel that I need to take a longer break and let my body fully recover. Therefore, I choose to end this season now," she writes.

Sagnia, who has a season best of 6.58, did not compete in the European Championship in Rome. The hope was that the 30-year-old would be able to chase a spot in the Olympics during the weekend's national championships – but it won't be that way.
