The police have found the weapon they suspect was used in the fatal shooting in Skärholmen, reports Sveriges Radio Ekot.
It was on 10 April this year that a 39-year-old father was shot dead in front of his son in Skärholmen. The incident is said to have been triggered by a confrontation with a group of youths at a pedestrian tunnel.
We found it by chance, you could say, a while ago. It's the weapon we believe was used in the murder, says Vice Prosecutor Ove Jäverfelt to the radio.
He doesn't want to comment on how the weapon was found.
Since May, an 18-year-old has been detained, suspected on probable grounds, for the murder. He denies the crime.
