The Ministry for Foreign Affairs is tightening its travel advisory for Algeria due to changes in the security situation.
The advisory applies to all travel to areas bordering Libya, Tunisia, Niger, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, and Western Sahara.
Furthermore, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs advises against non-essential travel to the city of Tindouf in the Sahara Desert in western Algeria.
On the other hand, the travel advisory is being lifted for the tourist areas of Djanet and Tamanrasset in the southeastern and southern parts of the country.
