The author Salomon Schulman has passed away, 76 years old, writes Expressen.
Besides his work as a pediatrician and child psychiatrist, he was a prolific cultural writer and debater on a range of issues in, among others, Dagens Nyheter, Expressen/Kvällsposten, and Sydsvenskan.
Salomon Schulman also wrote, among other things, the book "Jiddischland. Among Rabbis and Revolutionaries" from 2010, and in 2019, "Dear Moyshe! Dear Shloyme! Letters in the Shadow of Death", written with Mose Apelblat. The book is an exchange of letters between the authors about growing up in the shadow of the Holocaust.
Schulman also worked as a translator of literature and song lyrics from Yiddish.
