The author Ing-Marie Eriksson has passed away, 92 years old, announces her publisher. Eriksson was born in Sikås in Jämtland, where her most famous work, the debut novel "Märit", takes place.
Eriksson was prosecuted and convicted in 1967 for gross defamation for the book – the only novel in Sweden that has been convicted in a freedom of the press trial.
The same year, she was awarded the literary prize of the magazine Vi.
She has published about ten novels, the latest of which, "When the Chestnuts Bloom in Paris", was released in 2004.
