On Wednesday, it became clear that the State Department would purchase armored Tesla cars for 400 million dollars (4.3 billion kronor), which was noted, among other things, by The New York Times. In the new version of the plan, the Tesla brand has been removed. Instead, it says "armored electric vehicles".

A large order from Tesla to the US State Department catches the eye since Tesla's founder, CEO, and major owner Elon Musk – the world's richest man – has been given a prominent role in the new Trump administration. Musk leads Doge (Department of Government Efficiency), a new unit in the White House with the task of significantly reducing federal bureaucracy in the USA.

"I'm pretty sure Tesla isn't getting 400 million dollars. No one has mentioned it to me, at least", Musk writes on the social network X – another part of Musk's business empire.

Billionaire Musk's business empire consists, apart from Tesla and X, among other things, of the space company Space X, which has large contracts from the American defense and is responsible for transports for the space agency Nasa – contracts worth billions of dollars.
