Taylor Swift's world tour has been given a finishing date – nearly two years after it kicked off.
When Swift took to the stage in Liverpool on Thursday, she revealed the news to the audience while noting that the performance was the 100th show on the tour.
Many are asking how I'm going to celebrate that this is show number 100. I'm celebrating by acknowledging to myself that this tour is ending in December, she said according to Billboard.
This means that the concert in Vancouver on 8 December will be the last – unless extra dates are booked in.
"The Eras Tour" kicked off in March 2023 and landed in Sweden for three evenings at the end of May. The tour spans five continents. It has already broken several records – including being the highest-grossing tour ever, with revenues so far exceeding ten billion dollars.
The tour has dominated the popular cultural news flow since its start and in the countries where it has made an impact, the economy and tourism have received a boost.
