The two, a man and a woman, are suspected of attempted murder and possession of a hand grenade after carrying out an explosion at a convenience store in Copenhagen on Tuesday. They were arrested in Sweden by Swedish police at the Öresund Bridge the same evening. No one was injured in the explosion.

According to the Danish TV channel, both are known to the Swedish police from before.

A number of Swedes have been detained in Denmark in a short time and the explosion is the fourth case in a week where Swedish citizens are involved.

According to documents from the Danish National Police, NSK, which TT has taken part of, a conflict is ongoing between the Danish gang "Loyal to Familia" and an unnamed criminal network. The documents reveal that both weapons and explosives have been used in recent times.

Both groups are reported to have carried out violent acts against each other. At present, NSK assesses that there is a significant risk of further violent incidents as part of the conflict.
