Swedbank and Handelsbanken (SHB) are lowering their fixed interest rates for loans with binding periods of one to ten years.
A two-year loan with Swedbank now has a fixed interest rate of 4.44 percent, down from 4.64 percent previously.
For loans with a five-year binding period, the new interest rate is 3.99 percent, down from 4.19 percent previously, and for a ten-year loan, the interest rate is 3.89 percent, down from 4.09 percent previously.
The variable interest rate with a three-month binding period remains unchanged at 5.69 percent.
Handelsbanken is also doing the same and is lowering its fixed interest rates by between 0.20 and 0.25 percentage points. A two-year loan has a fixed interest rate of 4.39 percent.
The fixed interest rates are generally always significantly higher than the actual interest rates that customers pay.
