The White House has acquired a Tiktok account. "America we are BACK! What's happening Tiktok?", is asked in the account's first post, a 27-second long clip.
This happens after the US President Donald Trump has several times extended the deadline for Tiktok's owner to find a buyer for its American operations.
The US adopted a law in the autumn of 2024 that prohibits the use of the popular social media app as long as the app is in Chinese ownership.
