The battle against inflation is now won, proclaim Finance Minister Elisabeth Svantesson (The Moderate Party) and Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (The Moderate Party), in a debate article in Expressen. This comes ahead of today's presentation of the government's new economic forecast.
"The task ahead is to keep inflation in check and simultaneously build a richer Sweden", they write now.
When the two had a briefing on the state of the Swedish economy three weeks ago, Svantesson said that developments were heading in the right direction, but that "we can't quite shout hurray yet".
They claim that risks in the global economy have decreased, but that the development is not "risk-free".
