The police received an alarm during the night about loud bangs in a residential area in Sundsvall. On a property, damages were found and the police suspected that someone had shot at the building.
Two people – a man and a woman – were later arrested and have been detained. The suspicions concern attempted murder, aiding and abetting attempted murder, and serious weapons offenses.
During Tuesday afternoon, the police held a press conference regarding the shooting.
We took care of the victims who were in the apartment, says Josefine Perming-Tengqvist, group leader for serious crimes at the police in Västernorrland, to Sundsvall's Newspaper.
No one is reported to have been injured. At least two people were in the apartment, but the police do not want to specify exactly how many.
They are, of course, shaken by the event. But I cannot say anything about what they have said or who they are, says Josefine Perming-Tengqvist to the newspaper.
The police view the incident as an isolated event. It was residents in the area who alerted the police about an hour after midnight on Tuesday.
