A man in his 20s has been taken to hospital after a suspected shooting on Hisingen in Gothenburg. The man was found injured in a residential area.
He is initially awake and able to talk but is being taken to hospital in an ambulance. All indications are that the man is shot, says Fredrik Svedemyr, the police's press spokesperson.
A suspected perpetrator has, according to reports, been seen leaving the scene on an electric scooter. The police are categorizing the incident as attempted murder and serious weapons offense, but no one has been detained.
The police received the alarm just before 5 pm on Sunday and several patrols are working on gathering information and conducting witness interviews. A larger area has been cordoned off and a police helicopter has been circling the area.
