More than 100 of the UN's member states, including Sweden, have together with the African Union signed a letter in support of the UN Secretary-General António Guterres after Israel declared him "persona non grata", reports international media.
Among the countries that did not sign are, among others, the USA, the United Kingdom, and Australia.
Israel made its decision because it believes that Guterres did not specifically condemn Iran's attack on the country.
