Svensson chasing his second win – top in France

In March, Jesper Svensson took his only victory so far on the European Tour. The Open de France can become his second. The Swede shares the lead after two days of play.

He has a good season behind him, the 28-year-old rookie on the European Tour. So good that he, already before this week's competition on the OS course Le Golf National, looks like being one of ten players who secure a ticket to the PGA Tour next season.

Three second places and one win have been achieved so far, and now the Swede has put himself in a very good position for a new top placement.

After playing two of four rounds of Open de France – which he completed in 65 and 68 strokes – he shares the lead together with Dan Bradbury, England, and Belgian Thomas Detry.

But despite this, he was not the best Swede for the day.

Simon Forsström displayed dream golf and climbed significantly on the leaderboard. An eagle, six birdies, and only one bogey resulted in a 64-round, seven under par.

The 35-year-old is a total of –8, one stroke behind Svensson.

If Jesper Svensson wins, it means that he will climb to third place on the "Race to Dubai" ranking and looks set to easily secure a place on the PGA Tour next season.
