Sheeran has two performances booked at the national arena on August 22-23 and it would in that case collide with a potential home match for AIK (August 21) in the decisive qualifying stage.
So far, AIK is not clear for playoff. The Solna club beat Györi with 2–1 in the first meeting of the third qualifying stage. The return match in Hungary is played on Thursday.
There are also scenarios – depending on the outcome of other qualifying matches – where AIK can start a potential playoff away. Then the club will be able to play the return match at home at Strawberry arena on August 28.
This applies if both AIK and Hammarby advance to playoff, AIK writes on its website. Then the Stockholm competitor Hammarby will play their home match on August 21 at 3 arena and AIK will start away.
Another scenario is if both Rapid Wien and Austria Wien advance to playoff. Even then, AIK will start away for play on the regular home ground in the return match.
AIK is drawn to meet either Rapid Wien or Scottish Dundee in a potential playoff.
