Three people, including a 60-year-old Danish man, have died after a small plane crashed off an island just outside Perth in western Australia, reports ABC News.
The plane crashed shortly after takeoff on Tuesday. Among the dead were also a 65-year-old woman from Switzerland and the pilot, a 34-year-old Australian. Four people survived the crash.
Australia's traffic safety authority says in a statement that it has received reports that the plane collided with the water surface during takeoff.
