Parents of children who allegedly were victims of abuse at a school in Karlstad have reported the board of the school corporation for dereliction of duty. A preliminary investigation has been initiated by the prosecutor, reports SVT Värmland.
I have given the police investigation directives, says the preliminary investigation leader Barbro Brännlund to the TV channel.
Over 160 students at the school are alleged to have been subjected to secret photography and through image manipulation produced child pornographic material over several years. A trial where two men are demanding seven million kronor in damages for gross violation is ongoing.
The school states that it has not received any information that an investigation is underway against the board, but that they will cooperate with the authorities.
