The baseball icon Pete Rose has died, 83 years old. As a batter, Rose set a record in the number of hits during a career. Most of them came during nearly two decades in Cincinnati Reds.
But the fall was hard when the league banned him for life in 1989. Then the door to the baseball Hall of Fame was also closed.
An investigation had shown that Rose, in addition to playing on the arenas, had a "career" on the side – he engaged in extensive betting, even on matches where he himself was on the field.
