The author and influencer Sandra Beijer makes her debut as a playwright at Dramaten this fall. The newly written monologue "Glow up!" premieres on September 11 at Unga Dramaten, writes Expressen.
They were looking for someone who could write a monologue for young adults and asked me if I had an idea for a play. Then I said I had it. However, I didn't, but I made sure to get one, she says to the magazine.
"Glow up!" is about the 15-year-old Alex who is torn between two friendships, the one with her old friend Räkan and the one with the new girl in class. The inspiration comes from Beijer's own teenage years.
Klara Enevik plays Alex. Tickets will be released on April 9.
