The debut on the PGA tour was successful. Moreover, it provided a substantial clinking in the cash register. Jesper Svensson received over two million kronor for the shared tenth place on Hawaii.

He became the rookie of the year on the European Tour and when he finally got the chance on the PGA Tour – then Jesper Svensson continued to shine.

The 28-year-old golfer finished strong in Hawaii and after three bogeys and seven birdies, he walked into the clubhouse with a total of twelve strokes under par.

A result that meant he finished tied tenth in his first tournament as a member of the PGA Tour.

The placement also earned him a nice sum of money: Over two million kronor was awarded to the Swede.

The winner was Canadian Nick Taylor after a playoff against Colombian Nico Echevarria. After the four rounds, both had landed 16 under par, four strokes better than Jesper Svensson.

Corrected: In an earlier version, Taylor's nationality was incorrect.
