The restart of the Ringhals 3 reactor, which is shut down for annual revision, is being delayed. A deviation in a pump has been detected.
The pump is not functioning reliably and therefore we have chosen to postpone for a week so that we can rectify, says Samuel Linde, deputy press chief at Ringhals, to P4 Halland.
The reactor will now be restarted on July 13.
Furthermore, it will take a few more days before Ringhals 4 reaches full capacity. The reactor has been running at half capacity, something that was supposed to be rectified on Friday. Now it will take until Tuesday next week before the reactor can reach full capacity.
